Together even stronger

Bauberger AG and the Grisons-based Tschudy AG are utilizing synergies and will work together more frequently in southeastern Switzerland. Examples include collaborating on complex moves in power stations in the canton of Grisons, on renovation and modernization projects for generators, transformers or pressure lines as well as on plant construction projects.

Eduard and Hanspeter Tschudy were pioneers in the field of heavy goods transports: They themselves developed trailers and side girder decks for transport of transformers weighing up to 240t. In 2014 after nearly 80 years in business, this venerable company was integrated in the Calanda Group. In the process, its vehicle fleet was upgraded to strengthen its specialization in crane work and special transports.

The goal of the Calanda Group is to strengthen its Number 1 position in crane work, heavy goods transports, moves and machinery installation projects in the canton of Grisons by utilizing expertise from Bauberger AG. “The two companies complement each other perfectly,” said Giancarlo Weingart, managing director of the Calanda Group.
