Also Involved in Setup
We not only had a stand at the Prodex 2014, we played an instrumental part in setting up this trade fair for machine tools.
Fourteen trucks weighing thirteen tons apiece were transported to Basel. They came mostly from our heavy cargo warehouse in Elgg where the machines from overseas were readied for the local market. We unpacked and cleaned machine parts, then had a test run in the showroom.
For the next four days, our assembly supervisors were on site in charge of setup. They were assisted by four forklifts, various types of lifting and moving equipment and the Montylift-16 and -36, a powerful pair easily capable of lifting and moving 16 tons and 36 tons, respectively.
Our stand in Hall 1.0 attracted a steady stream of customers and interested individuals – including Stefan, Laksman, Predrag and Noah. These four apprentice polymechanics from St. Gallen are in the fourth year of their apprenticeship and studied our services to prepare a classroom presentation. “Very professional,” Stefan commented. “You notice the friendly family feel. I like that.” On completing their apprenticeship, all four want to stay at the company that is currently training them but they did ask about openings.
Dismantling took just three days and began in the evening, right after the Prodex 2014 shut its doors.
